ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT UNIT
Braintree District Council aims to create a vibrant and prosperous local economy that protects the district’s special environmental qualities.
The council’s Economic Development Unit (EDU) is managed by Business Development Services
and encompasses a wide range of business advice services.
The Economic Development Unit advises and assists Braintree businesses with both the expansion of
existing premises and, if desired, in finding a more favourable location within the Braintree district. The unit also offers expert advice on inward investment enquiries from businesses keen to take advantage of the considerable opportunities Braintree district offers.
The Braintree Business Council is a partnership of local businesses and the local authority that meets once a month. It provides the opportunity for local businesses to express their views on plans and priorities that are being adopted at local and county level.
